I like this blog post about finding passion in your job. The author mentions “Most of us make the mistake of assuming that our ideal job is ‘out there’ somewhere”.

I’m guilty of the “out there somewhere” mentality myself. Always looking at the grass on the other side of the fence. Aside from that, my fortune cookie today said “Turn your thoughts within, find yourself”.  I kid you not.

With that in mind, there’s a good 5 step exercise about how to change your attitude in your current job. For many of us, this is all we need.
