Sidelanes Gets a New Look
Yup, it’s about time I updated the look of my blog! I got this cool new theme by cudazi off themeforest.net. I love the minimal style.
One thing you’ll notice is that on the home page, you’ll just see an excerpt of the post where you’ll have to click the title or the “read more” link to read the full blog post. I liked this style of organization but I’m happy to hear your feedback. You know what they say about opinions.
I also updated my about page and added a profile box. Isn’t that a handsome mug? So anyway, I hope you can make it back here a bit more often now that my blog’s changed it’s look. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

The new look is pretty cool. I came to the site just to see it since I normally read your posts in my news reader. I have noticed though that no matter how long I sit on your page, it’s continuously trying to connect to googleadservices.com. Are you adding Google ads? I think they might not be hooked up quite right (or maybe my ad blocker is just killing them and that’s why it never stops trying to load).
Anyway, like the look, I’ve always been partial to gray.
Oh, and now that I’m done typing it just stopped trying to connect to googleadservices.com. Took about 2-3 minutes to stop.
Hmm, that’s strange. Thanks for the tip. I don’t know why it’s connecting to Google ads since I’m not using them.
